Early Learning Coalitions

Thrive is committed to helping organizations and communities connect their efforts with the Early Learning Plan, strengthen partnerships, build capacity and reach more children and families.

For the past several years, Thrive has helped fund and support the state’s 10 regional Early Learning Coalitions. These coalitions play an important role in coordinating and connecting resources and programs in their communities, getting information out to families about the importance of early learning, promoting early
literacy and creating local advocates who take action to generate support for early learning at local and state levels.

The coalitions are also key players with the implementation and ultimate success of the Early Learning Plan. They will play an increasingly larger role in the state’s early learning efforts. Because they reach families, organizations and potential supporters in ways that the larger state organizations and agencies can’t do on their own, they will help ensure that we serve and reach all families across our state.

In addition to grants, Thrive provides regular individual and group support to the coalitions to help them best lead their community’s early learning work.
