Learning for Life

Learning for Life airs every Wednesday on KING 5 Morning News on KONG 6/16 TV between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. This combination of news stories and LIVE interviews tackles a variety of early learning topics that not only appeal to parents, grandparents and those who work with young children but also the general public.

Thrive and BELO Seattle, which owns KING 5 TV, KONG 6/16 and Northwest Cable News joined in partnership in 2009 to create Learning for Life. Under the partnership,Thrive and BELO have produced the weekly segments as well as two, one-hour prime-time special programs, a public service announcement and Learning for Life segments on Evening Magazine.

Links to all past Learning for Life specials and segments are listed topically on the right.

Please send any story ideas about people, programs and work being done to support children from birth to age 5 to molly@thrivebyfivewa.org.
